SJA shares Origami Experience at J.LIVE Talk 2024
J.LIVE Talk 2024 took place at George Washington University on Sunday, November 3rd, and SJA was pleased to participate with our origami table. This annual presentation contest highlights students’ achievements in Japanese language and culture, and we were glad to be back for our second year.
In addition to the presentations, the event featured several vendors and cultural tables, including our origami station, which welcomed participants, audience members, and volunteers during lunch and reception breaks.
We were happy to see many attendees stop by our table to try origami, with most of them experiencing it for the first time. We also met a few students who had prior experience. Overall, everyone seemed to enjoy the activity, using it as a moment of mindfulness amid the competition's intensity.
We had the chance to catch some of the students’ speeches and were impressed by their advanced Japanese skills and the challenging topics they tackled. Well done to all the participants for their efforts!
