Join to learn the simple pleasure of origami crafts via 45-minute online workshop. Please register first and you will receive a Zoom link. The workshop will be suited for students of any age from kindergartners to retirees looking for a new hobby. A great opportunity for a family activity as well. All skill levels are welcome!

Arlington-Setagaya Youth Exchange
Are you interested in Japan? Do you study Japanese or want to communicate with Japanese students in Tokyo? SJA is hosting a youth language and culture exchange program with Setagaya, Tokyo by Zoom! You can practice Japanese and help Japanese students practice English. It’s a monthly event, so you can choose which dates to register for—come once or come every time! It’s really flexible and each session is independently conclusive, so you don’t have to worry about missing a session. And it’s free!

SJA will offer an Origami workshop to make Cherry Blossom crafts in collaboration with the Cherrydale Public Library. Please join us for a fun workshop, no experience in origami folding necessary.
SJA Matcha Tasting and Origami at Pink in the Park
SJA is hosting a Matcha tea tasting and origami folding experience at a fun cherry blossom activity with the kids event Pink in the Pool on Saturday, April 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets for this event are sold out, but you can volunteer for SJA and access the event! Volunteering starts from 8am to 12:30pm. The workshop will be suited for students of any age from kindergarteners to retirees looking for a new hobby. A great opportunity for a family activity as well. All skill levels are welcome!

Origami paper, preferably 6 inch x 6 inch (15 cm x 15 cm). Other sizes are OK too.

Cherry Blossom Origami Workshop
Join us for a fun cherry blossom origami workshop hosted by SJA (Study Japanese in Arlington), Origami Team
Would you like to enjoy folding cherry blossom flowers to decorate and create handmade gifts for the arrival of spring? We will introduce various cherry blossom models from easy to slightly more complex levels (refer to photos).
The workshop will be in Japanese but English support is also available.

Youth Japanese Language and Culture Class (Beginner to Advanced)
Do you want to study Japanese and learn about Japanese culture? Please join our beginner through advanced Japanese language class for youth (elementary, middle, and high school students). Classes will be offered online via Zoom. Classes are free, but spots are limited, so registration is required. Register here via Zoom.

Target: youth (elementary, middle, and high school students)

Arlington-Setagaya Youth Exchange
Are you interested in Japan? Do you study Japanese or want to communicate with Japanese students in Tokyo? SJA is hosting a youth language and culture exchange program with Setagaya, Tokyo by Zoom! You can practice Japanese and help Japanese students practice English. It’s a monthly event, so you can choose which dates to register for—come once or come every time! It’s really flexible and each session is independently conclusive, so you don’t have to worry about missing a session. And it’s free!
