Annual Youth Cultural Exchange

Do you want to meet Japanese students and talk about Japan and Japanese culture?

SJA is hosting our annual Youth Cultural Exchange (with middle and high school students from Japan & the US) on Tuesday, July 30th, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Arlington Central Library. 20 Japanese students from Nagano Prefecture were selected to travel to the US, and will be visiting Washington DC and New York to interview various people to write an article for a local newspaper in Nagano. During this event in Arlington, they will enjoy cultural activities, performances (TBD), and group discussion on social issues with local DMV students. A light dinner will also be provided to participating students.

SJA is looking for middle & high school students from the area to participate in the event.  No Japanese language skill is required.
