Conversation class field trip to the JICC!

On September 6, some members of SJA's weekly Japanese conversation class went on a "field trip" to the Japanese Information and Culture Center in downtown DC, where a chanoyu exhibit was being held. It was wonderful to learn about chanoyu and see the beautiful tea utensils on display there! Afterwards, we went to Ching Ching Cha, a teahouse near Dupont Circle, and shared several types of tea in a traditional setting. More outings and events for conversation class attendees will be planned in the future!
